Our Gender Reveal Party
It's been a couple weeks since the party, but I still wanted to share some of the photos and a video of the day with all of you! Better late than never :)
The day after our anatomy scan ultrasound, we invited a small group of immediate family members over to our house for a little meal and to find out what we were having. If you haven't read my last bumpdate yet, then you probably don't know that things didn't go as planned. Originally, we were going to find out the gender at the party. Welp... baby had other plans, and Jason and I knew within the first minute of our ultrasound what we were having.
So, that meant that we had to pretend the entire party to be completely in the dark, too. Don't worry. We told everyone we knew after the big reveal. Watch the video below to see how everyone else found out. And yes, I do get teary eyed. I blame the pregnancy hormones :)
This post is a few weeks late, but I still wanted to do it to document the last weeks of my pregnancy. Week 40 was very rough on me, but ended with a very healthy baby boy at 41 weeks + 0 days. Continue reading to learn about the days leading up to his arrival.
This past month has been the toughest one so far, and I have officially reached the "over it" phase of pregnancy.
Another month, another bumpdate! It's been a crazy month, too. I'm officially in the third trimester, and my body sure does feel it now. We also got an unwanted surprise at my last doctor's appointment...
Where has the past month gone?! This pregnancy is going by way faster than I anticipated. Getting sick and doing home renovations probably doesn't help slow time down either... But, hey! Let's stop with the spoilers and get to the bumpdate.

It's been insane around here with the holidays and the gender reveal party. Now it's time to catch everyone one up on what happened as I approach the half-way point of the pregnancy.
Long time no see! The past few weeks have been basically the same, and were fairly uneventful (until week 16). Plus, we've been crazy busy now that the holiday season is upon us. So, I decided to do another combined post. Enjoy!
Thankfully the symptoms have lessened as I finished up the first trimester. Only downside is it makes for a very short bumpdate...
My exhaustion has reached a whole new level the past few weeks. Combining that with the time change meant I didn't have the energy and/or enough light to take photos during weeks 8, 9, 10 & 11. Also, we found out that we may need to have an adjustment to our due date in the middle of all this thanks to our first ultrasound. So.... to get everything on track, I decided to combine a few weeks in one bumpdate post.
Another week, another bumpdate! I'm still amazed how much my symptoms change in a week. Pregnancy is so crazy!
This week has been dramatically different than the last few, and I hope it stays this way for a while.
Since I documented my whole pregnancy on my blog, I figured it only made sense to write about Will's birth. I don't plan on getting too graphic with the details, but there will probably be some TMI-type information related to childbirth included in this post. So, if you're not into that, you might want to skip this one. Now let's get to the story (it's kind of a long one).
