Fall Fashion Favorites
I love this time of year. It's chilly enough you want to wear jeans, flannels and chunky sweaters, but not so cold you need a big, puffy coat that hides your entire outfit. This fall there are definitely some things I'm leaning more toward than others.
First, I'm loving anything with the cranberry red color. I love if it's all cranberry, or has an accent of it. Plus, I think is is an amazing way to add a fun fall pop of color to an all neutral outfit (I'll get to the all neutral thing a little later...).
I'm also loving boots and loafers. I know loafers are definitely on on-trend item, but they are so dang cute for fall! They're a nice way to dress up a seemingly casual outfit. And of course, boots are a must for fall in Michigan. When is a cold fall day, you need to wear warm socks and boots to keep your tootsies warm.
Next thing I'm swooning over this fall is everything flannel. I love the thick, trendy flannel print, as well as the traditional lumberjack checkered flannel. My favorite flannel pieces are ones you can style with other clothes you already have in your wardrobe. It's a great way to turn your spring and summer basics into trendy fall outfits.
Finally, I'm loving outfits that are neutral heavy. Black shirt-dress, with black fleece-lined legging, and black boots are a go-to outfit for me right now. I also love the look of black skinny jeans, black loafers, and a grey and white flannel shirt paired with a black tee. Or, if you're not feeling the t-shirt and flannel, you can just wear grey chunky sweater. There's something so classically fall about those pieces, that having them all be neutral or monochromatic looks amazing.
